Project Overview

TLEC Engineering was awarded the contract for the log boom rehabilitation works at Bang Lang Dam, operated by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

The existing log boom system had deteriorated and required rehabilitation to restore operational efficiency and ensure continued debris control at the dam area. The scope of work included removal of existing components, relocation of the boom alignment, construction of a new reinforced concrete anchoring block, and reinstallation of the log boom lines in accordance with approved construction drawings.

A key technical consideration of this project was the installation and handling of a 556-meter steel sling system. Due to its substantial length and weight, the work required detailed lifting planning, precise load management, and coordinated installation procedures to maintain safety and system stability throughout the operation.
