The log boom was installed to manage large debris entering to the outlet structure in order to endanger public safety and dam safety, necessitating closure of the lake to recreation. The log boom installation is in response to the large quantities of fire debris that accumulated during impounding period. The log boom is designed to intercept floating and partially submerged debris being carried down for subsequent removal.
Basic Anchor Tension :
You provide design team with basic data including surface flow velocity, wave height and debris. We hand calculate the boom line tension at each support, mark the loads on a drawing that you provide to us showing the general boom layout, and tension at each support. This is especially helpful for engineering firms who have large in-hosue capability and only need to know the loads so they can design anchorages and other attributes. Not Included: design calculations, drawings, site visit .
Full Service Complete Design Package :
This is a full IFC (Issued For Construction) design package that may include detailed design calculations in a design brief, boom layout and anchor details, engineers stamp, site walk down, construction support.
