Project Overview

TLEC Engineering was appointed to carry out the replacement installation of the log boom system at four (4) locations within the Nam Theun 2 Hydropower Project.

The scope of work included dismantling the existing deteriorated system and installing a new log boom system to improve operational efficiency and long-term durability.

Scope of Work

  • Site inspection and assessment of existing log boom conditions

  • Engineering review and system configuration planning

  • Dismantling and removal of deteriorated log boom components

  • Supply and installation of new TLEC buoy system (for designated locations)

  • Integration with client’s existing buoy system (Downstream Channel)

  • ​Site supervision and safety control during installation works
